And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;  until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.                                                   Ephesians 4:11-13

A recent survey found that 70% of women who have an abortion identify as Christian.  Over 40 percent of women who have had an abortion say they were frequent churchgoers at the time they ended their pregnancies and about a half of them say they kept their abortions hidden from church members. Researcher George Barna found that 64 percent of American men and 20 percent of women view pornography at least monthly. And for Christian men, that number is 55 percent. More than half of Christian men in America routinely expose themselves to sexually explicit lies that shape the way they see sex, love, marriage, and women. George Barna concludes, "Every day, the church is becoming more like the world it allegedly seeks to change."

We believe that it is the role of the Church of Jesus Christ to be the primary means for the restoration of the sacredness of human life. This is true because the Church has been commissioned and empowered to proclaim the transforming Gospel of Christ as the only hope for deliverance from sin, death, and condemnation. Christ designed the Church to penetrate like yeast into every corner of a culture. Para-church organizations alone cannot sufficiently influence all levels of our culture in the way that the Church as a whole can and must.

For this reason the CPC of Greater Phoenix is launching Church Equip, in order to come alongside the Church and help equip, exhort and encourage her to boldly speak out in a prophetic voice on behalf of the sanctity of life.  Our vision is to see the Church engaged in restoring the sanctity of human life to the church, community and culture. The goal of Church Equip is to equip, exhort and encourage the Church to embrace and live out the Biblical Sanctity of Human Life worldview.

Church Equip provides the Church with speakers, presentations and resources. Our resources address:

  • The Life-Giving Church
  • Sanctity of Human Life
  • Biblical Sexual Integrity

Recovery and Restoration Programs

The long-term effects of abortion and abuse are hidden wounds that hamper spiritual growth and emotional health, often leading to destructive and sinful life choices.  Our Post-Abortion Recovery ministry (PACE) and Mending the Soul (MTS) groups apply Biblical truth to the brokenness of heart and soul, with the goal of bringing people to a place of forgiveness and restoration in Christ.  To learn more about these programs, please fill out the form below, and one of our facilitators will be in touch.  All inquiries are completely confidential.
