Pregnancy Testing
The Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Greater Phoenix (CPC) provide free pregnancy testing (PT) on a walk-in basis. There is no appointment necessary. Our pregnancy tests are 99 percent accurate and are of a medical grade. Pregnancy can be detected under normal circumstances in as little as seven to ten days after conception (the fertilization of the egg by the sperm). All clients receive test results by the end of each PT visit. They will also receive a PT verification form for positive tests. Verification forms for negative tests are only made available upon request.
In addition to pregnancy testing, CPC provides counseling to help women and teens explore their options regarding pregnancy. We provide information and education on parenting, adoption, and abortion. (Note: we do not perform or refer for abortion.)
We have an extensive list of community and physician referrals to help resource our clients in various areas of need (for example, prenatal care, food, housing, support groups, professional counseling, etc.).
CPC also provides applications to the Department of Economic Security (DES) for clients to begin the process of applying for state assistance available to those without private healthcare insurance and who qualify for AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System).
