When I was a kid back in the day, I played with building blocks all the time. Who knew that my life would be established in the same way. As God was building me and directing me he lead me here to CPC. I have a 30 + year background as a Headhunter/Recruiter which was the building block for me to become an Advocate Volunteer and equipped me on a part-time basis to engage Monthly Partners with CPC. I enjoy working with people to encourage them to see themselves as God sees them.

I have volunteered for CPC four years prior to my coming on staff here at the Glendale Center. It is my passion. I have been in the work force for some 30 years, but my love for this ministry supersedes all of the various fields of my past. I love to eat healthy, exercise and love my little Dog Daisy. One of my life verse is Phill 4:6-13. I attend Calvary Chapel in Surprise, as I have been with the various CC's since to age of 14.

I have been a nurse since 1989 and have had experience in the hospital and in the doctor’s office setting. My favorite was ICU, but I always wanted to work on the maternity floor. I left hospital nursing when my daughter was born in 2000 and worked part time until 2003. I spent time at home raising my two children and being involved in their school. In 2009, I was urged by what could have only been the Holy Spirit, to volunteer at a crisis pregnancy counseling center. In 2010 I was trained to perform limited ultrasounds and helped the small counseling center transition to a medical clinic. When I moved to Arizona in 2012, I decided to work on my nutrition education and helping others with whole food education. Once again, in 2013, the Holy Spirit lead me back to the mission field created by abortion here at CPC. I am glad He did because had I not transferred my RN license at that time, I would have needed to go back to school!! I have loved working for CPC at several locations, but now I am the lead nurse at the Glendale center. urse

Being Raised as a Pastor Daughter, I along with my siblings were under the microscope and yes sometime we hated it. I’ve gone through so many challenges in my life, such as my mom passing away on me 2 days before my state board nursing exam, almost losing my father 3 years later, being the coordinator of an Adult Fashion Show in my mom’s honor for the past 25 years and a Coordinator of a children’s fashion show for 7yrs. God, I thank you for the journey. I thank you God for the opportunity for a personal relationship with your son Jesus Christ, in him I have a wonderful friend I can go to 24/7. God I thank you that I am still here in the land of the living. My Nursing Career began February 16, 1980. Over the Past 38 years, I’ve been blessed to work 13 years with Level 1 and Level 2 Neonates, Pre and Elementary School nursing, Health Coaching customers with the top ten Chronic Diseases, Long and Short term Case Management, Med Nurse for Substance abuse Clinic and Provided assessment and meds for Behavioral Clients. Many times I wondered why God lead me on so many different paths in my nursing Career. Now I see why! God thank you for my history in nursing. It’s guided me over the years when talking to my Clients, Patients, Members and customers. God thank you because through you, I can encourage the discouraged and share vital information for a healthier lifestyle both mentally and physically. “God your the reason for Living”.

I started with CPC in 2014 as a Volunteer Client Advocate. During that time I was enjoying the blessing of being a stay-at-home to my two daughters. In November of 2017,I became a staff member at CPC. I thoroughly enjoy being able to serve the clients of CPC and consider it a privilege to work in such a loving and supportive environment. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, outdoor adventures, interior design and spending time with friends and family.

After 2 years of rehabilitation nursing in Illinois, 3 years of cardiac nursing in Florida, and a year of recovery room nursing in Tennessee, God brought her to Arizona in 2015 to join the team at CPC. She feels like she has finally found her niche in nursing and is so grateful to have the opportunity to use her nursing skills in a ministry setting. There is currently only one healthcare facility serving a community of over 10,000 people in Bukwo, Uganda, so Peter and Maggie are anxious to complete the construction and equipping of the hospital. Last year Peter organized a shipment of containers full of medical equipment and supplies which included an ultrasound machine donated by CPC to be used in Uganda at the hospital once it is opened. With the support from family and friends, Peter is planning to complete the construction of the hospital in Uganda and open the hospital to serve the community in summer, 2019.The hospital will increase equitable access to medical services in the region for all people. Peter plans to continue creating partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders and to develop systems in place to ensure the sustainability of the program.
